An easy homemade sauce to be served with spaghetti.
Tomato-Based Pasta Sauce and Meatballs

In a large sauce pan, add butter and melt over lower heat.
add minced garlic, tomato paste, and anchovy to the pan and cook until the colors deepen and the garlic is fragrant.
Add canned tomatoes. If using stewed tomatoes, use a spatula to break them up into smaller pieces.
Allow to come up to a simmer, add however many meatballs you desire, then cover the pan and allow sauce to cook for up to 30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through per the package instructions.
Add Italian seasoning, remove meatballs and serve spooned over cooked pasta with freshly grated parmigiano cheese.
